TIMEVAULT® — Asset Provenance, a Horological Atelier Ltd. product
TL;DR
Because we provide instant digital asset registration and certificate issuance, you explicitly agree when confirming your identity verification that this service begins immediately.
Under UK law, consumers ordinarily have a 14-day cooling-off period for online services. By ticking the confirmation box before submitting your verification documents, you ask us to begin immediately and agree that once your asset record has been successfully created on the ledger, that cancellation window no longer applies to that record.
If you change your mind before an asset registration is complete, contact us and we will halt the process — but you may be charged a prorated fee for the work already done up to that point.
What we keep separate from the provenance record: your personal information (account details, any ID you upload to us, and security records such as IP address) is stored securely on our private servers, and is never written to the tamper-evident provenance ledger itself. Identity checks are carried out by Stripe.
Deletion: any ID you upload to us is deleted 90 days after your account was registered, and IP and browser records after 180 days. You can also ask us to erase your personal data at any time.
What stays on the ledger: the cryptographic records, hashes, and transaction history written to the ledger are permanent and cannot be deleted or altered — that permanence is what makes a TimeVault provenance record trustworthy. However, the ledger holds asset events only, and once your personal information is erased those entries no longer identify you.
TIMEVAULT® is wholly owned and operated by Horological Atelier Ltd. For questions about these terms, contact info@asset-provenance.com.
