TIMEVAULT®

A verified service history for your watch

A watch with a documented service history is easier to trust and easier to sell. TIMEVAULT® keeps that history in the watch's record, logged by the people who did the work.

How service records are added

A service partner logs each service against the watch: the type of work, the date, any parts changed, and the next recommended service. When the record is submitted it is locked, so it cannot be altered later. A correction has to be made as a new record that refers to the original.

Each submitted record produces a service certificate with a QR code, which anyone can scan to confirm it.

Service reminders

When a service is logged, the owner can opt in to reminders. TIMEVAULT® then emails them about a month before the next service is due, and again on the day.

Past services

Services that happened before the watch was registered can be added as dated notes, so earlier paperwork is not lost.

Questions

How often should a watch be serviced?

It depends on the movement and the maker's guidance. Many mechanical watches are serviced every few years. Your service partner will recommend a date, which can be recorded and reminded.

Can I add services from before I registered the watch?

Yes. A service partner can add a previous service as a dated note, so older paperwork becomes part of the record.

Can anyone log a service on my watch?

No. Services are logged by approved service partners. If you use a watchmaker who is not yet a partner, ask them to get in touch with us.

Does a service record help resale?

A documented service history gives a buyer more to go on, and it feeds the watch's Trust Score. It does not set a price.
